The announcer named all the women he supposedly “dated”. Adam had enough and turned it off. “Shit, this can’t be happing” he whispered.

He went upstairs to go change. He finished and then he heard footsteps, he turned around it was Lupita. She was wearing a satin red dress with black high heel pumps, which made her a little taller than Adam. Her hair was in soft curls and her make up was natural.

Adam looked at her “Wow you look, wow” he couldn’t find his words. “You look beautiful” he said in amazement.

Lupita smiled, “You don’t look bad yourself, very handsome.”

Adam was wearing one of his trademark suits, a black suit with a white dress shirt and orange lamiae tie and black dress pants. Lupita stared at him in awe, he looked like he was going to an event, but it was for her.

“Let me fix your tie” she said as she pulled the tie up more to straighten it.

Adam held her and slid his hands down to her ass. In his mind he thought how much he wanted to take off that dress she was wearing.

Lupita felt his hands and flinched, “Adam, not now” Adam looked disappointed.

“But don’t you feel the same way I do” he asked.

“Yes, but I think we should wait until we know each other better” she told him.

Adam smiled slightly, still a little disappointed. “Your right, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. I will keep my promise and take it slow.”

In the back of his mind he didn’t think he could take it slow with her, he never had a girlfriend that wanted to take it slow. He really liked Lupita, he was willing to wait until she was ready, but it was going to be hard for him.

“I’m glad you understand.” She said and hugged him.

“We should go” he told her.

“Yeah” She nodded.

They went downstairs and lupita’s parents were sitting in the living room.

“Ok, were off” Lupita said.

Lupita’s mom came over to say goodbye “Wow you look so beautiful” she said almost at the point of tears.

“Aww, Mom don’t cry” she said and hugged her mother.

“Ok, well you kids have fun tonight and be careful”
“We will dad” she said as she hugged him.
“And Adam, take good care of my daughter. Have her back by 2.” He warned him.

“Yes sir I will” he assured him.

They headed out the door. Adam opened the car door for Lupita and got in the drivers seat. Adam sat in the passenger’s seat. And they drove off, it was silent for awhile.

“So, have you lived here your whole life?” Adam asked.

“Yeah, until I moved to LA.” she replied.

“Do you miss it?” he asked curiously.

“Sometimes. All my family’s here so I do get homesick and I miss the snow. I love when it snows here, especially on Christmas. Don’t get me wrong I love LA, but I just think it should snow in December, you know.”

Adam laughed “Your something else” shaking his head.

“Oh ok, now that your asking questions about me, it’s your turn”

“Ask away” he said. “Ok, what do you miss most about LA?” she asked.

“Well, I’ve lived there my whole life, so I miss the whole feel of it. Even though it’s a strange place to grow up in, I love it, I guess that makes me strange too.”

Lupita laughed “No your not, you came out perfect, your not like those other guys who think they are better than anyone else. Your very down to earth and easy to talk to.” she said.

Adam looked at her, “I’m not perfect, I’m far from it. I make mistakes, some that I regret and some I don’t. “My life is crazy, with all the media in my face all the time knowing all the things I do. But I guess that’s how the business is, to make your life more fucked up than it is.” they both laughed. “But I love what do and I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

Lupita giggled. “Wow, that is fucked up” they laughed.

“Yeah, but what can I do, I like to be fucked with.” Lupita laughed.

They finally arrived at the restaurant, “Well, we’re here” Lupita annouced.

Adam turned to her, “Your Perfect, in every way” Lupita blushed.

He leaned in and kissed her. “We should go in” she said.

“Yeah” he got out and helped Lupita out of the car. They went in and got a table, one away from the rest of tables for a little more privacy. They looked at the menus and ordered their food.

“Wow this place is great” he said. “I know, wait until you try their spicy tuna rolls, their amazing.”

Adam looked at her, “You look so beautiful” Lupita felt her cheeks getting red.

Then “Won’t Go home Without You” starts to play, it was her phone ringing.

Adam chuckled and said “I think that’s your phone.” he said.

“Oh, yeah, sorry” she said with a giggle. She looked at her phone, it was Canis “I got answer this, sorry”

She headed towards the bathrooms and answered her phone. “Hello?”

“Hey Lupita its Canis, how are you? Hows everything?” she asked.

“I’m fantastic, everything’s great” Lupita looked towards Adam and smiled.

“Wow that’s great!!!” “Listen um, yesterday I gotta call from Adam” Canis said nervously.

“Oh wow, what did he say?” she tried to act surprised.

“He asked if you were home and I said you weren’t, so he asked me where you were and I told him. Then he asked for the address where you were staying at” Canis tolf her.

“Did you give it to him?” she asked even though she knew the answer.

“Yeah, but I don’t know why he’d wanted it. I’m sorry if you didn’t want me to give it to him. I understand if your mad at me” Canis asked.

“I’m not mad” Lupita said with a giggle.

“Your not” Canis asked suprised.

“Yeah, I’m actually glad you did”

“Really why?”

“Adam is here with me, he came last night” she said excitedly.

“Oh my god, really?”

“Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either. Actually were kinda on a date right now” she giggled.

“Oh my god, Oh my god !!!” No way!!!”Canis said excited.

“Yeah and he’s staying at my parents house with me”

“I so hate you right now” Canis joked.

“Haven’t you seen Matt since the party?”

“Maybe” she said with a giggle.

“Oh my god, you did!!!” “So, how’s everything going with you two?” Lupita asked.

“We’re great, were going out tonight, he’s so amazing” she said.

“Awww, I’m so happy for you!! Hey Canis I’ll call you tomorrow ok, Adam’s waiting for me.” she said with a giggle.

“Okay, you better!!!, I want details” “Have fun!!!” Canis said. “I will and tell Matt I said hi okay” she said and hung up her phone.

Lupita headed towards the table where Adam was waiting for her.

“Is everything okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, it was Canis telling me you called looking for me” she told him

“Oh yeah, she was confused when I asked her for your address.” he laughed.

“Yeah, you shoulda heard her when I told her we were on a date.” she said with a laugh

She looked at Adam as he stroked her cheek with his hand. In her mind she still wondered why he came here to see her. Out of all the girls he’s dated, why he would choose a girl like her.

“Adam?”

“Yeah”

“Why did you come to find me?” she asked. Adam looked at her

“I told you, I never met anyone like you before, you are the most amazing girl I met”

“I bet you say that to every girl you date right?” she said with sadness in her face.

“No”

“But, I don’t compare to those other girls you’ve dated”

“That’s why, your different than those girls, your better than they are”

“Why?”

“Well, your sweet, smart, funny, confident and you don’t care what people think. I admit I’ve dated girls who didn’t act like themselves, trying to be something their not. You showed me the real you and I love that”

Lupita looked at him, “Oh Adam” and kissed him. Now, she knew for sure he was the man of her dreams.

They went on with their date, enjoying each others company. “Here like this” Adam said picking up his chop sticks. Adam was showing Lupita how to use chopsticks.

“I can’t, it keeps slipping.” Laughing and trying to pick up the sushi.

Adam went behind her chair and put his hand over hers to show her how to do it. “Like this.” he moved her finger and positioned it.

Lupita could feel his breath and her heart was pounding. “Now, hold it still and grasp the roll”

Lupita tried it and she finally got it. “See, you’re like a pro now” he said with a laugh. Lupita smiled and realized he was still behind her she turned her head and their lips touched.

He sat back in his chair. “So, when are you going back to LA?” he asked.

“Well hopefully in a couple of weeks. I’m teaching some acting classes at my old high school”

“Wow that’s great!!!”

“Yeah, my old acting teacher asked me to teach her classes, since she said I was one of her best students”

Adam looked at her amazed. “I’m surprised, you haven’t won an award for your role on that show” he said with a smile.

“It was only one part.” she giggled.

“Yeah, I know but you did an amazing job. Best acting I’ve seen on that show.” he said assuring her.

Lupita giggled “You are too much for me, you know that.” she said with a laugh.

“Well, I think I’m, just right for you” he grinned.
